Default Legendary Survivor monks now easier?

Well my thought is with hard mode now available. Couldn't a 600+smiter duo build basically just power level with about 0 risk of death in places like outside ice tooth cave minos/ trolls / desert minotaurs. Because they would be super easy to farm and I don't think have any heals in hard mode.

So what are your thoughts and ideas on it?

Getting to those areas is the hardest part, in reality. I mean you could always just do Lutgardis Runs for 2k a pop if you wanted to, hehe. The only thing you would have to do is door all the time, which can get boring. Aside from that its really easy to farm XP.

Well yeah, but you have to remember cantha imo is alot harder to get through to be the doorman, you have to go through vizunah square and other bosses and missions. Where as once you reach 20 you could easily get a run to ice tooth cave if you didn't already make it there, and then go power level off lvl 20+ minotaurs that are super easy.

The biggest problem would be getting another person to duo it with you, most likely. Since it would take a long time...scrolls would obviously help this process along.

Well hard mode does have an innate 50% experience increase so even just going to nightfall when you reach 20 and getting a lvl 15 monk hero to bond you would be an easy replacement. I think I will probably try to go for legendary survivor when I re-create my monk and use this method since their shouldn't be hardly any risk of deaths.

If farming using 600, it's more risky to be the monk taking the dmg. If you're the smiting monk, you'll have no trouble at all, you can stay very far away from monsters. Sometimes, however, the smiter will have to get thier hands dirty, like running to a destination. If you're going for survivor, follow your own advice and grind minos/tolls/whatever in HM. Just be the smiter

EDIT: getting bounties would help very much as well. farming insects would be quite easy, and you'd get the additional double xp bonus. AND, you'd get sunspear points. If you take my advice, the smiter should have purge sig and signet of removal. Deep wound from the beetle lances can be very deadly.
